# What it takes to run AtlasEye.

AtlasEye is a single installation per organisation, deployed with Docker Compose. These are the requirements and the installation path for the current release.

## Host

- **Operating system**: Linux
- **Architecture**: x86_64
- **Runtime**: Docker with Docker Compose 2.23 or later
- **Topology**: Single node

Before installing, the preflight check verifies Docker and Compose, memory, disk, ports and the x86_64 architecture.

## Installation

- **Connected installation**: Two commands. The licence key is entered at a hidden prompt.
- **Isolated networks**: A signed offline bundle, with offline update and rollback. Offline licensing is part of Enterprise.
- **Zero configuration**: Secrets are generated automatically and production defaults are applied.
- **TLS**: A self-signed certificate is created at install; you can use your own certificate instead.
- **Health check**: Every container is checked at the end of the installation, and an INSTALL.md guide includes a first-run checklist.

## Operating the installation

- **In-app updates**: "Apply Update" takes a backup before the update and supports rollback. Files you have edited are never overwritten.
- **Backup and restore** (Pro and Enterprise): Full-platform backup, manual or scheduled; restore verifies the SHA-256 checksum.
- **Housekeeping**: Automatic disk cleanup after updates and container log rotation.
- **Maintenance mode**: Switch it on from the interface or the command line.

## Not supported today

- One customer per installation (single-tenant), by design.
- Single node; no geo-redundant high availability.
- Docker Compose is the supported deployment; Kubernetes is not supported.
- x86_64 servers only.
- Two-factor authentication with TOTP only; FIDO2/WebAuthn is not supported.
- No general-purpose workflow or runbook automation engine.
- AI features need a customer-configured model provider or a self-hosted model; no model is bundled.

## Prefer not to run it yourself?

cdnCore can operate a dedicated instance for your organisation in Portugal, connected to your network over a site-to-site VPN.
